The secret to working with us.
During the past three decades we've come to know some very confidential, even privileged information about some of the most successful companies in the industry. What was it? Who was it? Sorry, those are our clients past and present...and unlike some white house interns, we know how to keep things in confidence. So, feel free to spout. What you tell us, is just between us.
It's not rocket science

Step 1: Learning the basics
This is the critical point where we listen, analyze, boil down and flush out the issues and uncover your needs. Together we'll identify the product or operational challenge. Or, turn us loose and we'll find the operational bottleneck and suggest marketing opportunities.
Step 2: Applied knowledge
Now that we've identified what you need, we start the design process. Rough sketches, working drawings and finally a prototype solution is created. Done? Nope, school's just started.
Step 3: Passing muster
We test the prototype in our facilities against specific customer parameters. If it makes the grade, it goes to you for initial appraisal. Any needed modifications are made, and then we test it again. A number of samples are then made for real world testing in your facilities.
Step 4: Surviving college of hard knocks
Even if things went well in the real world -- like a 29 year old graduate student, it moves back home. Time for us to add the aesthetic touches that really make your brand stand out. A time to design the packaging and work out the shipping requirements.
Step 5: Tooling around campus
We make the tool for manufacture and do a trial run. Then we send the prototype back to you for final approval. Then it's back to us for a little more graduate work or on to the next step.
Step 6: Finally -- A real job
With all tests and trials completed, production on your job begins.
Step 7: Tops in class
Production is completed, and orders are shipped complete to your warehouse or directly to your affiliates.
Over the past thirty years, we have produced hundreds of different food service products. The images below are a small portion of the variety of items we have designed and produced for our clients (used with their permission). Click on the image to see a larger view and more information.
Cup dispenserPROBLEM
A large chain could not find a cup dispenser that could handle the many different size cups used in
their operation. Some stores had 8 different cup sizes. To make this project even more challenging,
their sources for cups changed based on region and each cup varied based on which manufacturer
they were using.
SOLUTION
We developed one of the first fully adjustable cup dispensers. We created an adjustable
stainless steel spring clip that retained the cup at the proper height and made it very easy to dispense.
Our client was able to organize their cups and use some previously wasted back bar space.
Their source of cups changed frequently, but their cup dispensers work with cups from
any manufacturer.
PROBLEM
When the worlds biggest scooper of ice cream asked us to create the Worlds Greatest Ice Cream Scoop,
we knew it would be a challenge. Ice Cream is a very difficult food to work with and the physics of
ice cream dispensing are very complicated. They needed a scoop which would be easy on the store
personnel, have very tight portion control, and be approved by the National Sanitation Foundation.
SOLUTION
We developed the most efficient portion control scoop ever created. To date this design has scooped
over 1,000,000,000 scoops of ice cream and we still receive fan letters from the people who use them!
How did we do it? A big computer and a lot of physics.
PROBLEM
The leading cup manufacturer in the United States challenged us to develop a collar for their cups that
could withstand the abuse of malt making and mixing equipment, be easy to use, and also be approved
by the National Sanitation Foundation.
SOLUTION
We developed a stainless steel cup collar which fits a large variety of cups and is very easy to use
and clean. They are also adaptable to many types of mixing equipment.
PROBLEM
A major distributor of housewares products wanted to capitalize on the increasing market for authentic
Mexican food prepared at home. Already having many tortilla related accesory items, they could not
find a tortilla press that actually produced consistent tortillas and was easy to use.
SOLUTION
We developed and produced a tortilla press which enabled the home chef to produce their own fresh
toritillas in their own kitchen. Using leverage and a unique cam system, this item produces very consistent
toritllas with very little effort.
PROBLEM
A large chain displayed dry and wet foods in their stores. However, in order to keep the food fresh, they
wanted to only present a small portion of the food. The existing food pans were to large. Their existing
display cabinetry could not hold custom size pans.
SOLUTION
We developed a Pan Filler which took up approximately 75% of the air space in a standard plastic
container. Foods could be fully displayed but the stores only presented 25% of what they had used
previously saving them a huge amount in wasted food costs.
PROBLEM
When your stores use a huge amount of beans, you need the most efficient method possible to mix them to
the proper consistentency for your signature burritos and other Mexican food. Existing methods of blending
left the product inconsistent and lumpy. It also took too long to mix leaving long lines of hungry customers.
SOULTION
We developed a special mixing blade which significantly decreased the mixing time and also produced a
much more consistent product. This blade was made compatible with the clients existing mixing equipment
and was an easy retrofit.
PROBLEM
Our client needed an ice cream sundae glass that could withstand the abuse of many uses and cleanings.
The acrylic glass needed to be stable when filled and crystal clear to really show off the product inside.
The design had to emphasize the sundae rather than the container holding it.
SOLUTION
We developed and produced an SAN acrylic sundae glass which is top shelf dishwasher safe and can
also hold up to many trips through the cleaning sink. Its unique stem, taper, and multi-panel design enable
the sundae inside to be the star!
PROBLEM
A major dessert manufacturer needed to increase the speed of forming and cutting their cakes and pies.
They also needed to be able to control the process and make it as simple as possible with near
identical results each time.
SOLUTION
We developed a series of molds for forming and also a complete range of cutting tools which enabled
store personnel to produce the dessert items consistently and with very little training.
